New Series - Joy

This is the first image in a new series I've been working on, which has been quite fun and very meditative to paint. A little cuter than is my "normal" style, but it was really enjoyable for a change.

All images are 2.5 x 7 inches small and painted with mixed media on 140 lb cold-pressed watercolor paper.

I hope you enjoy them!

P.S. Thank you so much for visiting. I am on the road at the moment, so I will answer any questions you may have and visit your blogs whenever I get a chance (make that Internet connection) or after we get back.

by the look on her face, she is obviously not afraid of butterflies, as i was when i went to the butterfly museum and they landed everywhere i had a body part.

i hope you are having a great time, silke.
