He's so cute. We found one in our yard this weekend too and immediately put him out front so as to keep him from becoming a toy for some playful dogs! :)
I love those little guys! Sometimes they hop out of the way when I am on the lawn tractor, and I have to get off and put them safely into the flowerbed/weedrow. (it does have flowers...but more weeds...)
Ah, thre's my prince! What a handsome fellow, or madam ;-)
I've got one living under the slabs that were raised from the tree roots that they took down. Whenever I sprinkle the lawn, he comes out of his hole and blinks into the water...and at night two or three congregate on the porch under the porch light (sunbathing?)
Once they come and level that slab on my walk way I'll have to leave out some kind of "toad house" because I like them there keeping the insects away. Good toad, very good toad :-)
So very cute and unfortunately Reva has discovered them in our backyard. We usually get a couple every year, but I think those days are gone with the puppy on the hunt.
i love him! we have frogs now too, it's been raining here the last few days, and they come out from everywhere. maybe we'll see a little frog with one of your beautiful girls? in one of your paintings?? :) have a great day Silke! love, lori
