This morning...

... I am grateful for:

:: tulips my honey brought me yesterday and him knowing I'd rather have tulips than red roses...

:: a red cyclamen we bought together this weekend
:: the fact that we can plant both of them outside when we are done enjoying them in the house

:: a big piece of chocolate ganache torte (yum!) that our friends Doris and Alberto brought us for Valentine's Day

:: dates filled with herbed cream cheese, something my sister taught me when I last stayed with her (double yum!)

:: mini cupcakes our friend Jennefer and her family made and shared for Valentine's Day.
:: having had two mini cupcakes for breakfast (yum again!)
:: taking a walk with Winslow this morning in the fresh air after a day of rain
:: spying a great heron roosting way up in a tall pine tree
:: the wonder at how they don't fall over standing on a branch on one leg
:: having time to paint this morning
:: being surrounded by a creative mess in my studio
:: making a decision not to take a college class this next quarter and rather having time for other things and my own art
:: still feeling like my cold might not be a cold at all - nothing has happened beyond a sore throat yesterday
:: feeling so absolutely right with my world

There aren't words to adequately express how much you touched me yesterday with all your wishes for my birthday! Between my blog, Daniel's, Anne's and everyone's involved with my surprise blog party (and a total surprise it was!), Facebook, phone calls, cards and gift, I was buzzing with the joy of it all!!

Still today, I am floating on clouds of happiness and am sending some of those happy clouds around the globe to rain their joy on all of you!! You are the best! The most thoughtful! And I am forever grateful that we have met!

As I am getting ready for my trip to Germany (I leave Tuesday and there's sooooo much to do beforehand), I am not finding all that much time to blog and visit. But please know that you are on my mind and in my heart!!

...for all your heartfelt comments on my post yesterday, sharing your own experiences, fears and triumphs, and encouraging me on my journey. You have no idea how much that meant to me!

You've helped me realize (once again) that as I am spreading my creative wings I am by no means alone. There is a whole swarm of us butterflies ready to spread beauty in the world...

You've given me much food for thought and I feel a few follow-up posts coming on, but for now I just wanted to tell you a great big THANKS!  You all are the best!
