...for all your heartfelt comments on my post yesterday, sharing your own experiences, fears and triumphs, and encouraging me on my journey. You have no idea how much that meant to me!
You've helped me realize (once again) that as I am spreading my creative wings I am by no means alone. There is a whole swarm of us butterflies ready to spread beauty in the world...
You've given me much food for thought and I feel a few follow-up posts coming on, but for now I just wanted to tell you a great big THANKS! You all are the best!
Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same, knowing she has wings.

This is one of my favorite quotes- I thought of it when I read your post. Take courage dear Silke and spread your wings. You have amazing talent.
Hi.. I've just read your previous post and then this one now.
ReplyDeleteI understand what you are saying, but mostly I don't feel that way anymore... it may just be from the pleasure of growing older. I'm not exactly sure.
What I am sure of though is that it is important to have as much fun as you can as nobody else can do that for you and try not to take the experience of creativity too seriously as what worries you today probably won't even exist tomorrow.
Life is the extent of our imagination, so dream big and beautiful as often as you can.
be well
x Robyn :)
no.
ReplyDeleteyou are the best.
I missed that post, but when I read it just now, I could well relate to what you wrote. I even remember that, in college, I was pretty good at table tennis unless a group of people started watching, and then I would freeze up. Indeed, such paralysis is said to be a major problem for many people who achieve recognition.
ReplyDeleteFrom one butterfly to another I say...Nice to be sharing the skies with you dear Silke! :-)
ReplyDeleteSilke, I agree with Robyn -- have as much fun as you can!! Life is supposed to be fun! You are doing just great. Try to let the worries slip away & enjoy your day! ♥ Big hugs, BEth
ReplyDeletesilke, i read your post yesterday in between work stops. i think every artist has that stop point where it feels like freezing instead of moving. but i've found that's where the best surprises can be found.
ReplyDeletei think you are settling into who you ARE, not who you wish you were, and modesty and self doubt be damned. you deserve your own spotlight, dear friend, and your audience is excited and enthralled.
love
kj
Weiter so.
Liebe Grüße
Janine
Isn't the blogosphere amazing?

You are SO very welcome, Silke. We're all in the same "sky" - so to speak. We've all been there, and we should all support one another in our endeavors. That is the true spirit of community. Theresa :)
