Painting for Ripple

So many of you have inspired me to finally get out of my comfort zone and also do a little sketch to donate for Kelly Light's amazing movement at her blog Ripple. The cause is so important!

From Kelly:
Donation Details - How this works
Each sketch card on this blog is $10.00. The $10.00 is a donation to help the animal victims of the Deep Water Horizon Gulf Oil Spill. Every penny is donated. The two Non-Profits that are benefiting are The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies and The International Bird Rescue Research Center. You can purchase a card if you donate directly to one of the non-profits and email me the confirmation and your address to ripplesketches@verizon.net. The artist will mail you the signed card.

We don't have to feel helpless. We can help. Our small actions together will ripple outward.

So, head on over to Ripple and either purchase a card or donate a little painting of your own (and I know many of you have already)!

  4. Fabulous! Such a worthwhile cause1 Makes me feel like I can actually do something - was even thinking about going myself to pick up tar blobs off the beach! I have just been to the site and made my donation and purchased a card - yea! Thanks Silke for directing us to this very worthwhile charity!

  5. Did you also read Lori`s post on this? It is drawing circles! Our blogland is really a place of friends! If only all the "important people" would work together like we do!

  8. Ha! I got a kick out of your title here since the only Ripple I could think of was the cheap effervescent wine that I drank as a teenager. Painting for THAT would be low end work indeed.

  9. Luv the fish! It's good of you to donate it for the sake of the animals. Also, fun to see something a bit different coming from your paint brush!
