Somehow, she turned out to be my very favorite one - and the last for now - of this little series.
Thank you all so much for your well-wishes for Daniel's surgery. All went very well (although I think I was more of a nervous wreck than he was) and he's now back home recuperating. That means physical therapy, keeping his leg up and iced for a bit and having me wait on him hand and foot (or rather knee). ;-)
I am hoping to sort through our photos this weekend and show you some of my faves before our trip seems like a distant memory. It always amazes me how quickly that can happen as life just keeps speeding on. Sometimes I want to hit the pause button so I can catch my breath. Alas, instead I try to go with the flow...
And in that, I hope to float by your blogs and visit this weekend!!
Glad to hear Daniel is doing well. Wishing you both a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know your Daniel had surgery. Sorry about that. I do hope he is doing better now and well wishes to him. I enjoyed your little series and I think I like this one best as well. Have a great weekend, enjoy.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the surgery went well! Hope he recovers swiftly!!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about putting life on pause for a moment, that was how I felt after my brothers wedding last month! It was such a whirlwind and I would of loved a few more days to reflect on it afterwards but alas that thing called life happened instead ;)

I know what you mean about things flying by. I like to savor them. And if not the actual experience, then the memory of it. I hope you & Daniel are able to savor the memories of your trip before they fade away.

Healing wishes to Daniel and bright wishes to you, Silke. Oh, yes, if only we could just hit the pause button to capture those moments. At least we can keep on bringing them back in the mind's eye. Fabulous memories! Much love. xx
ReplyDeleteBTW, I love this series of work. Fantastic!
OY! Surgery! Oh goodness, I'm glad things went well and Daniel's recovering very nicely. He will be up and about, and you two will be traveling again before you know it.
ReplyDeleteOhh, your women, Silke! They are a bit of heaven. So very beautiful and unique, each one of them. I especially love this one's background. Welcome back! We've missed you!
This is my favorite too. Really nice composition, colors and shapes.

Oh you so sweet! Thank you and yes, photo from last night before our Nandos adventure. Funny thing is, as soon as I quit my job, I felt like Silke...calm, content, excited to discover who I really am. I want to be YOU, silly!!! For now, I am painting my ex-office to become my artistic studio. Soon to be revealed...thank you SO much for enrolling in Kelly's course so that I could. Talk about timing...I am seeing the hand of God. **kisses** Deb
