Series Continued - Hope

2.5 x 7 inches, mixed media

Somehow, she turned out to be my very favorite one - and the last for now - of this little series.

Thank you all so much for your well-wishes for Daniel's surgery. All went very well (although I think I was more of a nervous wreck than he was) and he's now back home recuperating. That means physical therapy, keeping his leg up and iced for a bit and having me wait on him hand and foot (or rather knee). ;-)

I am hoping to sort through our photos this weekend and show you some of my faves before our trip seems like a distant memory. It always amazes me how quickly that can happen as life just keeps speeding on. Sometimes I want to hit the pause button so I can catch my breath. Alas, instead I try to go with the flow...

And in that, I hope to float by your blogs and visit this weekend!!

  1. Glad to hear Daniel is doing well. Wishing you both a wonderful weekend!

  2. I didn't even know your Daniel had surgery. Sorry about that. I do hope he is doing better now and well wishes to him. I enjoyed your little series and I think I like this one best as well. Have a great weekend, enjoy.

  3. So glad the surgery went well! Hope he recovers swiftly!!

I know exactly what you mean about putting life on pause for a moment, that was how I felt after my brothers wedding last month! It was such a whirlwind and I would of loved a few more days to reflect on it afterwards but alas that thing called life happened instead ;)

  4. Ich wünsche Dir ein schönes Wochenende und hoffe, dass es dem Patienten gut geht.
    Viele Grüße

  13. Healing wishes to Daniel and bright wishes to you, Silke. Oh, yes, if only we could just hit the pause button to capture those moments. At least we can keep on bringing them back in the mind's eye. Fabulous memories! Much love. xx
BTW, I love this series of work. Fantastic!

  14. OY! Surgery! Oh goodness, I'm glad things went well and Daniel's recovering very nicely. He will be up and about, and you two will be traveling again before you know it.

Ohh, your women, Silke! They are a bit of heaven. So very beautiful and unique, each one of them. I especially love this one's background. Welcome back! We've missed you!
