Donation Details - How this works
Each sketch card on this blog is $10.00. The $10.00 is a donation to help the animal victims of the Deep Water Horizon Gulf Oil Spill. Every penny is donated. The two Non-Profits that are benefiting are The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies and The International Bird Rescue Research Center. You can purchase a card if you donate directly to one of the non-profits and email me the confirmation and your address to ripplesketches@verizon.net. The artist will mail you the signed card.
We don't have to feel helpless. We can help. Our small actions together will ripple outward.

Fabulous! Such a worthwhile cause1 Makes me feel like I can actually do something - was even thinking about going myself to pick up tar blobs off the beach! I have just been to the site and made my donation and purchased a card - yea! Thanks Silke for directing us to this very worthwhile charity!

Did you also read Lori`s post on this? It is drawing circles! Our blogland is really a place of friends! If only all the "important people" would work together like we do!
ReplyDeleteLiebe Grüße von der Insel Usedom! Danke auch für deinen Besuch bei mir!

Ha! I got a kick out of your title here since the only Ripple I could think of was the cheap effervescent wine that I drank as a teenager. Painting for THAT would be low end work indeed.
ReplyDeleteLuv the fish! It's good of you to donate it for the sake of the animals. Also, fun to see something a bit different coming from your paint brush!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you have participated in this. I would like to also. I have bought two, so that is something... yours is so charming and alive.

ReplyDeletehi silke, this is a very nice fish. but what i notice the most is that i am starting to recognize your backgrounds: to see one and say 'ah that looks like silke.' i'm not expert but i think that is a very very good thing.
