Remember Her?

I call her my dippy woman, because I entered her in Illustration Friday's challenge for the word "dip." Well, yesterday, I was playing around with some paints and stamps and stencils. Suddenly I saw her laying there, just begging me to give her some stamped beauty!
She didn't have to ask me twice. I got out my brayer and some beautiful paints and created some haphazard smudges all over the background. After that, I added some stamped and stenciled loveliness and... Voila!
I can't say she looks any happier (somehow I was at least expecting a smile), but I like her new background!! What do you think?

Love the pieces in the previous post also. I do work with distress inks. I would definitely say: try them!

  10. Your lovely woman has been dipped and stamped and brayed, and you know what? I think she IS happier for it. More content, at least. The new elements are a fantastic addition! Whereas before, she was surrounded by glorious colors, she was still a little solitary. Now she is surrounded, and her beautiful face is more the focus. Splendid!

  14. She feels the same way you do. Are you happier? Then she is happy. You infused her with your emotions.

I think I will be so nervous as your hostess. I have ssen your house and you may not enjoy staying over at my house because you will start cleaning...

  20. I love it! She is much like a picture in my bedroom, but the new stamps around her face are like beautiful thoughts flitting about. May I introduce myself - I am Catherine's mother-in-law, and I have to say that I think you are an angel in her life. Your comments are positive and life-giving at times. Thank you so much from someone who loves her with all my heart.... And now I am a fan of your artwork!

I have been so busy, and then sometimes I am hard pressed to find a topic to talk about - I wish it flowed easily from me.
Anyway, she is beautiful - I love the background - gives it a great dimension.
