and bake some delicious cornmeal/rye/whole wheat bread and...
eat quite a bit of it! Most of you already know my love affair with bread. This wasn't as crusty as I like my breads to be, but it still tasted great! And the smell while it was baking...double yum!
Thank you all for your generous and encouraging comments. Today, being allowed back in my studio, I'm going to try a couple of your suggestions on the back of this tag and show you all the result. I think it's great how art is so truly subjective. All I know is that sometimes a piece just doesn't feel finished to me and this is one of those examples. I'm glad most of you liked it anyway!!
Hi Liebe Silke,
ReplyDeleteOh! Your bread looks absolutely divine.
I also like it crispy, yummy!
It seams that we have a lot in common, I love preparing delicacies, not only to me and my companion, but also to my friends.
Bread included, ahahah!
I was here yesterday... saw your wonderful paintings but was unable to comment.
Nothing serious, just a conjunctivitis.
Hopefully I'll be fine in a couple of days.
Hugs
Birgit
Looks very Yummy! Nothing beats homemade bread.
ReplyDeleteWow..looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteKiki~
Oh! I think that bread looks heavenly as I sit here with coffee only!
ReplyDeleteAnd I know I have no time to make bread today--it's off the the grocery and battle the *Aisle Zombies*! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I will just THINK of how delicious that is.....sigh..... ;)
XXOO!!
Anne
best smell in the world.
ReplyDeletexoxo!
Hmmm, sieht das lecker aus!
ReplyDeleteI can smell the bread from here, it looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteThat bread looks seriously delicious!
ReplyDeleteYummmmmmmmm. Best smell in the world...bread baking. I still like the back of the tag the way it is. You have carpet in your studio? You must be a tidy painter! **blows kisses** Deb
ReplyDeleteYUM! I have the same love thing for bread myself Silke! And pasta and rice and well, everything they tell me I should cut back on :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bread and pics!
mmmmmmmmmm that bread looks incredibly delicious!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Silke, I too have a love affair with really good home-baked bread, still hot and slathered with creamy butter. I'll take that over chocolate any day!!!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how you were making out with the carpets. It's a challenge waiting for the carpets to dry, and even more so when you have 2 animals in the house. I can't imagine how you kept Winslow out of the restricted areas! Maybe he got to enjoy some bread too.
ReplyDeleteI need some of that today -seriously. I have got to have some major comfort food after the morning I had.
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Silke!
these photos look good enough to eat. i can only imagine how the bread tastes, yum!!
ReplyDeletewe need our carpets cleaned too, just as soon as little owen is house trained!! hopefully soon.
love,
lori
I haven't spent any 'real' time in my kitchen....used to engage in 'harvest' days...where I'd be baking 6 loaves of bread, making muffins...basically stocking up!
ReplyDeletemaybe I should get someone to bann me from my studio! that might make me want to get back to the kitchen! lol
your bread looks delicious...esp. with all the melting butter...I can just imagine all the smells!!!! Yum!
ciao bella

The bread looks wonderful.....I can smell it! I LOVE bread too!
ReplyDeleteMMmmm - what a delicious aroma wafts from your photos!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I liked your tag in the last post - it's maybe a little dark but when I enlarged it and tried covering up individual elements to see what worked, I felt it all did! So, don't cover it up!! Keep up the great work!
Silke, can I take a slice?
ReplyDeletePS: your latest arts are great!
OMG! You are fabulous in every way. Just fabulous. Get stuck in the kitchen and you bake a most beautiful looking bread.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I wish I could get my bread to rise this way. So good. I bet you didn't even save a crumb for me, did you.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Is there any possible way for you to send me some virtually? LOL That looks amazing - I have quite the weakness for good bread, as well. Just ask my hubby! Do you use a bread machine or do it all from scratch (letting it rise, etc).
