In this little 4 x 6 painting, I used blue interference color, which doesn't show up really well in the scan. It's so interesting to work with. If you paint with it on white, it just looks like milky white paint. But when you paint with it on black, it turns iridescent blue. A little bit magical...
Wishing you all a most wonderful Easter weekend!!
Hello Silke, sounds very interesting. The new painting looks very sophisticated. I love the colour blue, also. Have a wonderful and relaxing easter weekend.
ReplyDeleteI see you are starting to work in some shadows. Would love to hear more about the book.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Silke!
ReplyDeleteHow are you today? I love reference books even though I hardly read mine. It's always good to have them just in case you need them, like recipe books.
Have a lovely weekend. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
I like the idea of paint that changes color -fun! This lady looks rather pensive. You always manage to get so much emotion into the eyes. I don't know how you do it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
I love our synchronicity! I pour over this book all the time hoping that someday I will be brave enough to try all these techniques. So funny! I send you light and love for you and yours.
ReplyDeleteHi Silke..what a beautiful painting..she is gorgeous....the blue is gorgeous too..magical! How interesting it works wiht the black like that....thanks for sharing that! I love hearing about new products..sometime the best surprises happen..wow! very cool! yay! I've only just recently started to use Golden mediums and paints. My local AC Moore added a nice Golden section and I went on a spree armed w/ coupons. I will have to search out this book.
ReplyDeleteThis 'blue lady' painting feels very dreamy and melancholy...her face and the colour play. I love it.
ooh, I love to try new things, I may have to search out that book!
ReplyDeleteHi Silke, trying new things and learning is so much fun, I know I'm learning new stitches all the time and loving it.
ReplyDeleteYour painting is gorgeous! I hope that you have a wonderful rest of your Saturday and a very Happy Easter!
Hugs and much love...

I agree with everything everyone said. I love that book. I don't have very many "how to" books, but that is one I would like to have. I use golden products too, but they can be expensive. I like how your painting is coming along, I can hardly wait to see the finished product. Good Easter weekend to you.
ReplyDeleteI had to go order this book, so I did. Thanks for the introduction to the book. Take care.
