Playing with Pastel Ground

I am still playing with the Altered Surfaces book, this time painting a quick little (4 x 6 inches) pastel portrait on acrylic paper covered with Golden Pastel Ground. It is great!! It allows you to make any surface suitable for working with pastels. You could also apply it to part of a painting and combine pastels with other media. I think I'm going to give that a try...

  4. I think that is about the ONLY Golden ground I have not tried. I love their products! Love-love-LOVE them!!! I want to get in gear and prepare some substrates with the digital ground and see how they do in the printer.
However, today will be computer work day...booooo.....so think of me as you add lovely colors to your pastel work!

  5. Wow Silke..she is so charming..I love the vibrancy in this one..something is coming to life magically here..what a wonderful vibe!!

The powerful-colorbackdrop reminds me of the rings of light I see when i drift to sleep and awaken in the morning..they are like colored tunnels that move one after the other..this reminds me of that!!Very cool!

I love hearing about new products..yay!
