Illustration Friday - Dip

After she made the decision to live her authentic life, she acknowledged the slight dip in her courage and leaped with a brave heart!

Finally, I am finding time to paint again. I am moving furniture in my studio and it looks very crowded with piles of paper and books, but this morning, I ignored all that, made a little space for myself and painted for a couple of hours. Bliss!!

I'll have more art to show you in the next few days, as well as a few awards to recognize. I'm so behind in that! In the meantime, if you'd like to check out other entries for this week's Illustration Friday theme, simply click here.

P.S. My dad was very touched by your sweet comments on his market photos!! Thank you all!

  5. silke, i will be back to look at the open market and your father's pictures. i love those too, everything seems so fresh and special. there is something about buying (ans living!) from the source that gives such joy.

but! for now, i just wanted to tell you that i am drawn to how you use blues in your paintings. it strikes me as holy. here, the blue streak on her face reinforces that feeling for me.

happy easter, silke. i hope somebunny leaves you a chocolate egg.

  16. Oh uh Silke, the banana dip: I doubled some of the ingredients. I intentionally altered the original recipe. It's a long story. I bet you can make it better.

I love this woman. Reminiscent of your early ones which I adore.

BTW, that photo of you and Winslow on your avatar is so precious!

  17. What a nice painting, she does look ready to move bravely forward into the unknown. You are able to create such intense features in your work. I really like that.

I can't believe I missed your post on Munster, what a fabulous market. I might have to take a trip there myself (I wish).:) Ah but that we had places like that where I live. I hope you do get a chance to go back soon as I would love to hear more about Germany and the wonderful food. Your dad is a gem.
