Illustration Friday - Ahead

Go ahead! Spread your wings and fly!

Tag (5.25" x 2.625") - front & back
Collage, image transfer, stamps, stencils, & acrylic paint.

I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was rainy both Saturday and Sunday with visions of the summer's humidity awaiting us...

Because of the rain, I did get to work on my art a good bit, and am almost done with another women's portrait. It just needs some background work. I hope I can show it to you tomorrow!

In the meantime, I wish you a great start to your week!

  8. Hello Liebe Silke,

Great work, I simply love it.
You really made me fly for a while. Thanks.

In Portugal, for the last 3/4 days the weather has been fantastic, sunny and hot...better knock on wood as lately it's so unpredictable ...

    Keep on the fastastic work.
    Have a nice week,
    Love
    Birgit

  10. Just stopped by to wish you a great week. I like your cards. I've started a homemade book. An idea I got from a blogger friend. It is going to be fun. I cut out the front and back (wood) and have painted it. Now I need to cut and coat the pages that will go in there (card stock). Then I paint them. Fun, fun, and more fun. Except I am so busy, I don't know when I will get to the next step. Tee Hee. Take care.

  12. So stunning! These pieces are so beautiful. Sorry to hear about all the rain; we had a wonderful weather day on Saturday and then yesterday it was dreary and rainy. At least we got one day in for garden shopping! :) Theresa

  14. Gorgeous pinks and blues, and each color gets to dominate a side. You are an artist AND a diplomat! Bless the rain for allowing us to wallow in our art without guilt.

    Have a great week!

  20. Wow Silke, you are so vigorous in your art making. Great sense of design and colour you have - bet someone else has said that :) The textures are the things that I admire most. Your woman portraits have serenity and bring out the sitters inner self sometimes. Off to check the hummingbird :)

    see you
