Daniel and I took a short road trip Thursday, Friday and today to Roswell, Athens, and Augusta, GA and had a great time! I don't know about you, but a road trip always gives us a new perspective and gets our creative juices flowing. Here are a few pictures to share our experience with you. The first two pictures I took in a huge antique mall in Roswell. I loved those colors! One of the beautiful old homes in Roswell.
Some gorgeous flowers we found in Roswell - Lenten roses, peonies, and irises, to show just a few...
One of the streets in downtown Athens (home of University of Georgia).
A fun shop window in Athens.
An old album cover - isn't it great?
All over Athens we found painted versions of Uga, the bulldog mascot of the University of Georgia. We especially liked this one.
This morning, we were lucky to find a fun cafe in Athens for breakfast. I loved the colors!
Happy Daniel with a latte and a scone...
Later today, a photo at Clarkes Hill Lake, one of the huge lakes created by damming the Savannah River. It was gorgeous!
In Augusta, GA, we walked on the river walk where I thought I saw a turtle in the water and pointed it out to Daniel who saw immediately that it was a water snake and got this great photo of it. We watched it swim for a long time...
I love this photo Daniel took of me in a Cuban restaurant with a painted sky!
Now we are happy to be home again and decided that living in Savannah we truly live in one of the (if not the) most beautiful cities in Georgia! Tomorrow I am heading back into my studio and hopefully will have more artwork to share soon!
