I am aware I am starting the "Good Things" post with an ominous looking picture of bad weather approaching. But...it's a picture of the beach and in my book, the beach in any weather is still a good thing... It's been rainy and blustery here for many days now and will continue, but lessen, during the next few days.
On to other good things -- today I received a little surprise package in the mail from Karen of Tessandore Creative (make sure to visit her blog), just because. So thoughtful and sweet! I opened the letter and out came these five super-cute, tiny, perfectly painted and adorned little houses. I love them!! Thank you, Karen!
Are you a fan of So You Think You Can Dance? Well, I've never watched it before, but will be glued to the TV screen every Friday evening this season because Gabi Rojas, a young and incredibly talented woman I know from Albuquerque, is dancing in it. Check out her audition video - you'll be amazed!! (Now I just have to learn how to vote for her...)
And last, but certainly not least, while my friend was visiting (my excuse for being so late in thanking Suzi...), the talented Suzi of Art With a Touch of Whimsy tagged me. Thanks so much, Suzi! I feel very honored!!! Make sure you check out her blog and her beautiful art!
These are some of my good things for today. What good things are going on in your life?
Very sweet little houses and I love the photo of the beach. You don't live that close to the beach, do you!? Sigh!
ReplyDeleteHello there! Thank you for your visit! Yes, Audrey is one of the most memorable actresses in my book! Cheers, Anita
ReplyDeleteI am very tired after a busy week at work. My good things right now are a 3 day week end and cherries from the market. Your post helped me look at the positive instead of the negative. Thank you
ReplyDeleteHello Silke, I liked very much how Gabi Rojas dance, is like a bird (as the woman of the jury said).
ReplyDeleteAnd also liked the little houses, they are so cute!
I love the ocean too! Weather smeather....just watching the waves makes me instantly relax. Oh, I hope you will load some of your painting on Spotted Canary. They are so lovely. You need to share with the world.
ReplyDeleteHello Silke! Happy to make your acquaintance. I followed the trail from Ces' blog. Gabi Rojas is one of my favorites already. I am a true dance groupie! Voting goes much like voting for Idol...the judges are in charge until they narrow down the top dancers. So happy that I stopped in to visit. You have a lovely blog and an even lovelier face. **blows kisses** Deborah
ReplyDeleteHello Silke!
ReplyDeleteThe beach! Yes, I agree, any weather is beautiful. Savannah! Someday I would like to see Juliette Gordon Low's house. I am a Girl Scout and forever will be.
Gaby Rojas shows us what a beautiful machine our human body is! She is incredible and I wish her the best!
I love the beach in all sorts of weather too. Its always beautiful!

ReplyDeleteI've just returned from 2 nights and a day visiting my friend in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Having a friend with a summer house in the mountains is a good thing! And going to the beach -- for me, that's the BEST thing! Happy Weekend to all!
ReplyDeleteWhat absolutely beautiful houses to receive in the mail - how lucky you are!! I will be sure to check out Tessandore Creative.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
