Yesterday, I was lucky enough to receive two (!!) blog awards. I feel very honored and grateful!!
This first award was given to me by Jo of peaceofpi studio. Check out her blog - you'll love it as much as I do! Thanks, Jo.I would like to pass this award on to two sisters, whose blogs I find very inspiring! They are:
Lorrie of Lilylovekin Tails and her sister
Julie of julie haymaker thompson. What a talented and sweet family! Make sure you visit their blogs!
I also want to pass this award on to Mr. H of Subsistence Pattern, whose blog about growing food in Idaho with the goal of self-reliance I follow with great interest on a daily basis.
And of couse, I want to pass this award on to my good friend Beth of Beth's Take on Life. I so enjoy her photos and her writing! A new full-time job unfortunately (for us) has meant fewer blog postings. I look forward to more of her musings very soon!!
As if receiving one award wasn't just wonderful enough, sweet Mary of The Fresh Notes gave me the award below. Thank you, Mary! Make sure to visit her blog for some great photos, writing and even the occasional yummy recipe!
The Rules
1) Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link.
2) Pass the award to other blogs that you’ve newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.
This award I'd like to pass on to the following creative bloggers I've discovered fairly recently:
Becky of The Gritty Bird
Heather of Audrey Eclectic
Amy of Such a Wondrous Place this Faerytale Space
Bella of Bella Sinclair Doodlespot
Renate of Put a Little Magic in Your Life
Sarah of theothermousie
Char of We Blog Artists
Nancy of my collage art
Please feel free to do as you choose with these two awards, pass them on, keep them, or just know that I have given them to you because you and your blog are special to me in some way!
I could list many more because you all inspire me on a daily basis, but I'll leave it with these eight for now. Thank you all for how much you've given me over the last few weeks!! What a great community to be a part of!!
More art and some pictures of beautiful Savannah will follow in a post later today or tomorrow. Wishing you all a wonderful evening!

Silke,
ReplyDeleteFirst, let me say that I feel really honored that you would think of my blog for an award. I so appreciate the thought. Having said that, please understand that I must turn down this and any awards for various reasons that I won't get into at this time other then to say it was something decided upon at the inception of my blog. I am very happy for you and believe that you are truly deserving of any and all rewards received, but I must decline. I hope that you will understand.
Once again, thank you so much.
Mike
Silkie, THANKS! I will get it up on my site in the am and when Lorrie gets back I will help her put it up too. I am her computer teacher. hugs Julie
ReplyDeleteThank you so much...how very sweet :)
ReplyDeleteHi everyone, let me just say that you should all feel free to do with the awards what you want. List them on your website or not. You can pass it on or just enjoy receiving one. :) Silke
ReplyDeleteSilke,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your awards - I am very happy for you! And I am so touched that you have honoured me with one. Thank you.
I continue to look forward to your visits and to follow your art journey.
Hugs,
Renate
