Making Art Together...

When my friend was here, she started a beautiful piece of art (her first using image transfers and mixed media) that she didn't have time to finish. So today, while it was raining buckets outside all day, I simply added a little bit of paper, a little more color, a little sand from the beach, and the result is a piece I just love! It's so representative of our friendship!

    This is a treasure forever. I love the water theme, especially given you enjoyed seeing water creatures on this trip. The paper seems to represent such joy and a glorious pattern of beauty and play (love to know what company makes it) Friendship at its best! Great joy!

    Beth, the turtle is a paper cutout and the fish is a gel medium image transfer. :)

    Amy, the paper company is K&Company and it's from a collection called Que Sera Sera, the Designer paper pad - the fish transfer is from that paper collection as well.

    Dear Silke....wow...this is a great piece....very lovely. Since you love making the background (like I did)....I wonder have you check out Kelly Rae's book?
    And I agree with you about making the background from our recycled mag, brochure, etc.Yay! If you can come back in couple of days to my blog to check out what I made from them!*wink*
