Out of Focus...

The picture above shows exactly how I've been feeling as of late - partly in focus and partly (mostly, actually) completely unfocused. It's been driving me crazy! Do you ever have a phase when you feel sort of all over the place? When you are soooo busy, but don't really get much of anything done? When you have long to-do lists that keep growing instead of getting shorter?!
Well, I've got lots of knitting to share with you (just finished a YUMMY scarf from the softest sari silk yarn), some art to show and a few recipes to entice you with (I've been cooking a bit this weekend and even remembered to take a few photos).
But do you think I can get my act together to actually post something? Not so far. It's like I've lost my blogging rhythm... Has this ever happened to you?!

Thank you for being so patient with me while I get back into the swing of my creative life! You all are the BEST!!!

  1. Aww, well, I have no sense of rhythm, that's for sure.

Can I just tell you, though, I love your sandals. They look very classy. I can tell, even though they are blurry.

I see you have spotted the spy I sent to see what you are up to. Dang. He was never very good at camouflage.

    Tsup!

  4. Hello Silke,

I feel like that saying: "The faster I go, the behinder I get." No kidding - it must be the time of year to be extra busy because the holidays are quickly approaching.

    Have a good day,
    Doris :-)

  14. Silke I think we all go through times like that. I know I have! And it can be frustrating but as they say...."this too shall pass!"

Be kind to yourself and know that soon you will get back into the groove! Always appreciate the honesty in your posts!

PS....let me know about the card! :)

  15. I always wonder if times like this in our lives are a warning of sorts. To sift and sort and find the important things and discard the things that are just cluttering and chaosing us up!

I hope you find some clarity and a moment to breath!

The older I've gotten, the more I realize I wish I would have listened to my body and spirit a bit more!

  19. Oh Silke, that is EXACTLY how I have been lately...all over the place and accomplishing not much! I do believe there is a purpose in the loss of focus though, as if it is the pause before the clarity, part of the process. A time to become more essential. So no worries! Everything is as it should be. **blows kisses** Deb

  20. Hi Silke,
I know exactly how you feel. I also feel like I have been chasing my tail recently. It seems to be the time of year for exciting things to happen, but bringing it all together can be a bit crazy and difficult! ;-)
It will all work out well in the end. I'm looking forward to seeing your new sari silk scarf. It sounds lovely.
Really good to see you again.
    Love,
    Jo.x

  23. Hi Silke, I think we have all had those days. I know I have - even very recently. Just feeling all out of sorts and wondering and worrying about everything. It always passes, thankfully. You just need to stay the course! Theresa
