Dessert and Knitting

Could there be anything better? Well, maybe dessert, knitting and art. Art will come later... But first, a couple of yummy recipes to share with you. (I'm getting my blogging groove back, I think! Thank you for all your sweet comments on my post yesterday!)
This is dark and white Toblerone chocolate mousse in a Swiss dessert cook book by Betty Bossi. It's delicious!! The kind of delicious where I can eat the whole bowl full by myself in one sitting...

I found an English translation of the recipe for the white mousse here.  And now follows the recipe for

Dark Toblerone Mousse
by Betty Bossi

150 g (1½ bars) Toblerone dark chocolate
plenty of boiling water
1 egg, beaten
1 T powdered sugar
1 cup (250 ml) whipping cream

Break chocolate into chunks and add to bowl.

Boil water and pour boiling water over the chocolate pieces until they are completely covered. (I know this sounds insane, but it really works!!) Let sit for a few moments until the chocolate is soft (it will keep its shape, but you can test how soft it is with a toothpick). Do not stir the chocolate, but carefully pour off the water.

Whip whipping cream.

Beat the egg with the powdered sugar until it is light yellow and immediately add to the chocolate. Mix well.

Fold in whipped cream.

Spoon in chocolate mousse into a bowl or individual ramekins.

Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, until mousse is set.

Seriously addictive, especially when you serve the dark and white chocolate mousse together!
I have lots of knitting to show you, but I'll have to do it piece by piece as I get photos taken. First up a beautifully vibrant and soft scarf knit of recycled sari silk yarn (listed here).
I knit it on the diagonal with a drop stitch pattern and it looks stunning -- even if I say so myself. That yarn is so much fun to play with!

More tomorrow!! I hope you are all having a great evening!
