Our garden is so green in places that it even draws me, the heat wimp, outside to take a look once in a while. Daniel has been doing lots of work in the garden and it really shows. And some of our plants are finally starting to show some fruit! Above is one of our first poblano chilies! I am hoping for a huge harvest so we can roast and freeze quite a few. I am still using the roasted chilies from previous years in my cooking now!
Our lima beans are also doing really well and almost ready for consumption. We can't wait!!
And here my beloved fig tree - it has grown over 6 feet in the last three years and is packed with little figs this year. Oh, I can already taste them in my mind - so sweet and delicious! Do any of you have any recipes you love using figs?
I'm also slowly setting up my Etsy store (yeah!!) and am listing some of my scarves there as well. I decided to take some new and fun pictures of my scarves in our yard. Aren't those colors great?
All that to say that I haven't been to my studio in a couple of days, but I am getting ready to make some more art soon!
Gorgeous! :) e
ReplyDeleteEverything looks quite delicious! I always love your ribbon-y scarves, and they look particularly appealing in the outdoor setting you're showing here.
ReplyDeleteHi Silke!!! looks like we are both out in our gardens today!!! I was just taking some photos this morning...everything looks so lush....
ReplyDeleteGoodluck with your Etsy Shop!!! it is so much fun to set up and manage isn't it!!!
Have a wonderful day!!!

Good luck with your Etsy store, you will find it real easy to work with. I love the bright scarves photographed against your lush backyard. Your fig tree looks like mine. I can't wait for them to ripen up. I don't have any recipes because I eat them as fast as they come off the tree!
ReplyDeleteOOH! So much green! I love it - I think it's my favorite color. Your scarves are so beautiful, and the colors really pop against all the green in your garden. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so lush and pretty! The scarves are lovely too :)
ReplyDeleteTiny Figs and beautiful scarves and peas , etc. So inspiring I just got into NM last night form Az. We have had lots of rain here and it seems so green too. My cherries are still going strong on the trees. I had a bowl last night and watched HBO's First Blood.
ReplyDeleteHi Silke, mmm figs, so delicious!! hehe. So good you have some fruits in your garden, i wish some day I could have a land to have my own plants with its fruits. I like the scarves too.
ReplyDeleteKisses.
your garden looks like a little green sanctuary! it's absolutely fabulous!! i admire your green thumb.....i'm lucky to keep my herbs alive! enjoy the fruits of your labor!! :)
ReplyDeleteBravo Daniel! Those plants look great. I was ordered to grow lima beans this year, but alas I failed to do so as I ran out of room. Next year I will put them at the top of the bean list for sure, or I will really be in big trouble from the Mrs.:)
ReplyDeleteI love the sixth photo. Your scarf in the garden with the orange flower - the scarf looks like a flower and I really had to take a second look.
ReplyDeleteYour scarves ~ fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful lush garden!! Such colourful scarves! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI loved the scarves mixed with the vegetation outside, they looked so genuine. Many thanks for the images and commentary.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
can I come over for lima beans??
ReplyDeleteHi all, thanks for all your sweet comments! I really appreciate you taking time to ready my posts AND comment on them. I love it!!
ReplyDeleteTo all of you who thought this is my green thumb, I wish... Daniel is the amazing gardener in our little family! Between the summer heat and the fire ants, I don't spend much time digging in the dirt. I do love to eat what comes from the garden though. ;)
Hugs, Silke
Lovely colors and beautiful scarves! Goodluck with your Etsy Shop!
