Last night I slept for 10 (TEN!!) hours, in which I had three very vivid dreams that took place in parking garages, one of them in Zurich. I wonder what was going on with me?! In one of the dreams, I was a man with a wife and a son. Try figuring that one out... I always joke that the many dreams I have every night are my own personal movie theater - and never a scary dream in the bunch!
I probably would have slept even longer, if Daniel hadn't woken me up with: "Do you want to go to the cafe for breakfast?"There's never a question which cafe he's talking about. Gallery Espresso, our favorite hangout in Savannah!
And breakfast doesn't just mean excellent coffee (a double latte for me!) and good eats, but it means spending a good long time relaxing, reading, looking at art and people watching.
It's probably good that we don't live right in Savannah or I might just move into this place!
Wishing all of you a good Saturday morning. And to those of you in the path of Hurricane Irene, I am thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed that you are all safe!
Love the cafe with the comfy chairs. I could spend a day there also. Have a lovely week-end and continue to rest, your body must need it.
ReplyDelete...omg....I would love to sit and drink coffee there!
ReplyDeleteFOR HOURS.

I am heading to farmers market in a few minutes but wish this cafe was on the way
ReplyDeleteDas sieht ja urgemütlich aus.
ReplyDeleteWünsche dir ein schönes Wochenende.

Hope you're enjoying "Snow Flower & the Secret Fan." It was one of my book club readings and I completely enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteI too have extremely vivid dreams, however, I have had my share of awful ones, but fortunately, I don't remember those, just the funny and warm kind. Also, I have had in the past, what I call "visitation" dreams. Those that have passed on, come to me in dreams and we have a one-on-one discussion...very strange, but again, I always feel so warm and comforted when I wake.
Have a lovely weekend and so glad that Hurricane Irene has passed on through.
I am enjoying following your life. What a great creative & visual journey! I too love cafés.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to ask also if you are enjoying SNOWFLOWER & THE SECRET FAN ... My Mom and I both read it ... We wanted to go to the cinema to see the movie and we missed it - It was only in select theaters for one weekend ... I am waiting for the DVD so we can watch it together.
ReplyDeleteI love this breakfast cafe - I can see why you enjoy it so much!
Enjoy the weekend!

Silke, the looks of this cafe are wonderful. I love cafes/coffee shops that give you a sense of warmth and comfort. This one certainly fits the bill. We have a few around the area, but my DH is NOT a cafe person. I would have to drag him there and then once he drank his coffee, he would want to leave. LOL
ReplyDeleteHow great it would be if we blogging buddies could all meet for coffee in there one day.
