Well, dear friends and family, today is the last day of the year. I started the year without knowing most of you and I end it being so many friendships richer! I feel like the luckiest woman!
Do you do resolutions for the new year? I haven't had much luck with them, but I do like coming up with a theme for the year. Last year that was appreciation, especially of what I already had in my life and I had thought that this meant that my life would sort to stay in place, just be deeper and richer. A lot of deepening happened, but mostly, my life expanded in a wild way this year and I want to explore that feeling of expansion further in 2010.
I want to examine all the corners of my life, look beyond the obvious, courageously try new things, say "yes" to opportunities coming my way, listen to my heart, leave fear outside the door, love everyone whose path crosses mine, assume that everything is unfolding perfectly, and embrace the person I am becoming. And, of course, I want to share that journey with you all and at the same time follow your leaps and bounds as you continue on your creative paths. This is an awesome community and I am so happy to be a part of it! Together we will change our worlds!
Here's to a wonder-filled, happy and healthy 2010 for all of us! Wishing you everything you are hoping for!!
Thank you so much for the comment on my blog, I loved hearing that you were wearing the bracelet I made.
ReplyDeleteMy new years resolution is to be more healthy, I have not been so good this past year and need to change that.
Good luck with your resolutions.

Many blessings to you in 2010, Silke! I wish you a lovely new year. Thank you for your kindness this year!!! : )
ReplyDeleteHappy new year Silke, the painting looks to have found a wonderful home.
ReplyDeleteGood morning dearest Silke. I was here last year and I thought I left a comment. Isn't that funny? Yesterday was last year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and Daniel and to your Dad in Germany. Silke, you are the sweetest. You make me smile and I love that you tease me with your sandwich. Hahahaha!
I love your painting. I never thought of matting a painting, I love it very much. I should try doing that to one of my smaller paintings and YES the boys are absoluitely gorgeous. I love children, how they enjoy the holidays - they are stress free and I want to emulate them. They don't care that the place setting had the forks mixed up.
Happy New Year my dear sisterfriend!
OMG! That is so sad and so cute at the same time. That is the perfect picture of great expectaion. Children are always perfect. They know how to demonstrate it. I love the crying nephew! Tsup!
ReplyDeleteThank you Silke, I will drink my coffee with the thought of that delicious pastry! Say hello to Daniel for me and Happy New Year too.
ReplyDeleteAaaw! You finished the pastry before my coffee finished brewing. You should have another one! Hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteGoodmorning in real time Silke.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Did I tell you how you have touched Jacquie. Did you see Jacquie's comment the other day on my blog, don't know where and it was directed to you telling you that you made her cry.
Happy New Year.
Your nephews are dolls and the picture looks beautiful.
Love Renee xoxoxo
Silke, isn't it great? I am having coffee to your cup of tea. I am also having an Italian sour cream pound cake with my coffee, although a 230 pound Italian won't be a bad substitute. Ooop did I say that?
ReplyDeleteDear Silke,
ReplyDeleteYour summer maiden is really a lovely painting. It looks wonderful framed.
Ich wish you and your family a happy new year.

Oh Silke! HAHAHAHAHAH! I almost choked. You make me laugh. I am unfaithful to my Italian (cake). Hahahahah!
ReplyDeleteOh Silke, you can have your own food-tasting show. You know, that is not a bad idea!
ReplyDeleteHahahah! Have a lovely day Silke. PAINT! CREATE! Tsup!
ReplyDeleteSilke, that Summer Maiden painting has to be my favorite of yours. It is stunning beyond belief, and when I see it, Chagall comes to mind. Your sister is blessed to have it, to have you, and to have those two precious wee ones.
ReplyDeleteWishing you an incredible New Year, filled with all the right kinds of expansion. May your pastries never expand you in the wrong kind of way. May your yarn keep weaving and your paintbrush keep creating. Good health to you and your loved ones. Happy New Year!
ps. those flower scarves are ADORABLE!
