Yesterday, I took another hour and painted this little painting of two friends. They are almost more like little sketches (only 4 x 6 and not 5 x 7 like I had previously posted), painted without a plan and really without thinking too much, purely from the heart.
Hair is always my big bugaboo, and I like how these girls' hair turned out! Faces seem easy to me, they sort of just come together, but hair is a different story for me...
Thank you all for your heartfelt comments on my last post! You all are wonderful!! Can't wait to visit all of your blogs...
Dear Silke,
ReplyDeleteYou may be new to art but it is totally obvious that you have found a new love for yourself and that this love loves you in return.
I have just read your previous post; spoken from the heart!
May you long continue to find pleasure and enjoyment in your activities. 'Throwing a pebble into a pool...' is a wonderful metaphor for what are doing in blogland.
Thank you very much for your moving comments on my post on "Heimat"; I am very glad the subject found so much resonance with you.
Ein frohes neues Jahr und alles Gute,
Friko
I'm amazed at how you can paint something like this so fast! These two ladies look like sisters or best friends. I like how the taller one's head curves over the blonde one. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThis painting is beautiful, the affection between the two friends is so tangible. You are so talented!
ReplyDeleteThey look so content and dreamy...a very peaceful painting. ♥ Deb
ReplyDeleteYour new painting is lovely! I think you did a fine job on the hair - my problem is always the nose! :) Theresa
ReplyDeleteDear one, Jacquie is wearing her new scarf to physio. She loves it. Thank you.
