Visit to Germany - Part 4 (Nature)

When I visit Germany, I always love diving back into the nature I grew up with. So, here are a few pictures of a few plants we found while out walking,

a lovely little house in the woods,
a gorgeous water treatment plant in a different woods,
quite a few different kinds of fungi (these were tiny!),

and a couple of slugs - alright, I admit this is kind of gross looking, but I just had to snap a photo...
Well, the chickens thought it was pretty gross, too, and wanted nothing more to do with me.
Off into the sunset they went.
Ok, much prettier again...

Thanks for traveling along with me!! I hope you enjoyed it!

Tomorrow - art! Finally again!!

  1. Silke-
Only you would think to take photos of lichens and then turn it into a beautiful blog post! Beyond beautifu my friend! The moss on that log is absolutely a gorgeous photo -(love the chicken photo too!)

I am so glad that your trip was so wonderful. AND glad you are home - there is no place like home - right. We are still catching up from our travels as well!

ps - I hope to be headed your way in a few weeks!

  2. Ich liebe Hagenbuttenmarmelade, besonders in Krapfen...und Pilze...Ich vermisse die allerlei Deutschen Pilze.

  3. You found some great things on your walk Silke! I must admit though, that the chickens on the run was my favorite shot!! Thanks for sharing them. :-)

  6. The slugs are doing a Yin and Yang sign!!! Cool!

  7. This is such a neat potpourri of photos! I had to chuckle at the chickens on parade. And look how lovely the water treatment plant is! Obviously, the US could learn something from the Germans about building attractive municipal structures. Gorgeous grapes, flowers, pond reflection, mushrooms, and sunset. You sure packed a lot into 3 weeks! Thanks for sharing your memories with us.

  11. I love all the photos, but the chickens marching away is a hoot! It does look like they are storming off!
The rose hips; are those the type they make the delicious tea from? I still enjoy a cup when I can find it around here....
Thanks for the virtual visit. :)
