New Art!
My latest girl...she turned out a little vampy, didn't she? I love her red hair and green eyes! And she looks like she could be impatient, so I decided to enter her for this week's Illustration Friday theme of "Impatience." She's painted with acrylic paints on gessoed watercolor paper. Usually I add some texture with molding paste, but I decided to just paint her on a smooth surface. Nice! Find her on Etsy if she just has to come home to you...
In other news, Winslow thanks you all for your lovely comment on his dog biscuits and gives a special woof, woof to those of you who provided more recipes. He's planning to keep me very busy with baking for him...
Hope you are having a fantastic weekend!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful image! Lovely work.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about the vampy feel! I love it! And I find it so interesting how you draw these women with long hair, when one usually draws people who look like themselves. I totally dig it. It's like out of the comfort zone :0)
