It turns out we arrived in Washington, DC at the beginning of Cherry Blossom Festival and all the trees were in bloom. I have never seen so many flowering cherry trees! When we get home, I will have quite a few stunning photos to share with you. This is just a little taste...

We went to the National Zoo in Washington, DC yesterday - it was a beautifully sunny day and we had a great time! I'll share more photos with you when I get back, but here is one of my favorites.

Springtime in Savannah

Before we left on our road trip (we are in Washington, DC as I am typing this looking forward to visiting with family and friends, and seeing many flowering cherry trees), we took Winslow for a walk in Savannah to get some photos of our beautiful town in the spring. Enjoy!!

Sophia - Finished Painting

Let me introduce you to Sophia, a beautiful and strong young woman! She's had her share of heartbreak to deal with, but she came away stronger and wiser than most her age.

One of the things that helped her was her knitting, her pretty cowl and slouch beanie being just one example of all the beautiful things she has made.

Isabella - Finished Painting

Meet Isabella, the island girl! She is sensuous and enjoys her life! She loves deeply and doesn't get too wrapped up in unimportant detail.

She is painted on a layer of collage papers on a canvas board. The background is stamped beautifully with distress ink. She's a gorgeous girl!! And she knows it...
