We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming...

...for a word from my foreign blog correspondent in Siberia.
Ok, so maybe not Siberia, but my dad sent these photos this afternoon from Germany and I just can't believe it!
Such amounts of snow and so early in the season! I think they are getting ready for a true White Christmas.
I've seen similar photos from some you, my German blog friends. Just amazing...
...a Winter Wonderland!
And I think there is more on the way.
Not here. We've had rain today and cold again tomorrow, but with sunshine.
I have to call my sister tomorrow. Her boys must LOVE all this snow!
As does my dad and Ingrid's dog!
Hope you are all staying warm!!!

  1. Pretty winter scenes! And still no snow here at the Coast of Maine. Perhaps a small storm just in time for Christmas. I wouldn't mind that.

  7. Yes, it looks lovely - but shoveling several inches every day isn't quite as lovely.

I love the snow,,,love to look at it, love to paint scenes of it, my dog loves to romp in it...just keep it off the streets please!!! I slid all the way home yesterday:)
One of the many joys of winter in Germany...saves on gas you know...just put in the clutch and roll with it:)

  9. Ohh Silke, it is snowing like crazy right now. The airports are almost closed with thousands of people stranded there. They warn you of taking the train and the highways are closed for bigger cars. Europe under siege:-)

  10. Beautiful shots Dad! Ok Silke, I hate to admit this but the snow on the bushes reminded me so much of powdered sugar on brownies. Yummy!

  13. So beautiful, the world transformed by the blanket of white. Still waiting for a real snow here. I'm ready, but then I'm not the one who has to deal with the driveway...I get to stay toasty inside and snap photos!

  14. A white Christmas would be lovely, if we could have snow for one day that would be great.
