Another Painting...

...and this one a little different from my last paintings. I had prepared a large sheet of acrylic paper with gesso and then cut it up into several 5 x 7 pieces. This one I painted without any background texture, but added some pattern. I think Christmas is on my mind... I call it The Face of Love.

  1. You and manon are so creative and versatile. You incorporate other media. I can't and would not know what to do. This is apt for Christmas because it looks like "love".

  6. This really is quite beautiful dear Silke, to me the mothers love is so pure & the child is so assured of this, that he does not need to look at her face. I truly love it xxx

  20. Hi Silke,
I really love your double images in your paintings. This is a special picture of a mother and child. It reminds me of the painting you did for me!
I like the way their heads are tilted close to each other. By the way, the portraits look lovely framed on the wall. I think it would be great to see some more cats and dogs in your pictures!;)
    Have a creative weekend.
    Love. Jo.x

  23. Sweet faces, really looks like mother & child. I like how the child looks aware of the mother, giving the idea of a child being confident of the mother's love & watchful eye. Beautiful!
