Do I Love Our Dog or What?!?

Last night, I found a dog biscuit recipe at down to earth and immediately had to try it this morning with the best result! Friends had given us this cute dog bone cookie cutter years ago and I thought it would make the perfect dog biscuits. While they were baking, they smelled so good that I wanted to taste them, which would have been just fine as they have excellent ingredients. As it was, I let Winslow be the taste tester and I am happy to report that the recipe met with his full approval.

A couple of afternoons ago, I had to quickly run out and take a picture of the sky as a storm was blowing in. The clouds were so beautiful and roiling!
Right after I snapped the photo, this happened:

Later that evening, when I let Winslow out in the yard, I saw this beautiful spiderweb right by the door. Isn't it amazing in its perfection?
Tomorrow, I will have more art for you. And also a recipe soon - we had to use our first poblano peppers the other day and Daniel made the most delicious Mexican dinner for us that I want to share with you all.

Hope you are enjoying your Friday evening!

  1. Hi Silke, good to see you, I've been some sick for the last couple of days now with a infection. But I'm feeling just a lil bit better with the help of some antibiotics. Thanks so much for all your kind words over at my blog, you're always so sweet to me, thank you so much, I really appreciate everything! I'm still having some of a hard time, this nephrostomy bag isn't the easiest thing to get use to. I am walking a lil bit better now though but still waiting to hear from both of the Dr's to see what they're going to be doing next.
Thanks so much for sending us over to Down to earth's blog, she always has the best things there! I to have a Furry one recipe that all three of my furry ones just love!

  9. Winslow is one lucky dog! I never thought I would end up being the kind of person who bakes for her dog, but they have a way of making you do things you never thought you would do, don't they? I baked doggy treats for our Barney and they were so good, I have to confess to having a little nibble myself! If Winslow fancies a change, check out my recipe for Doggy Breath Bones - I hope he likes them as much as Barney does. Beautiful pictures Silke.
