Back to Art

I am working on a new piece of art, which I am very excited about. It's on an 8 x 24 canvas, rather large for me! Here is the background I created through paper collage. Once the paper had dried, I painted over it fairly fast with acrylics and without much of a plan. I just picked out some colors that spoke to me, and then played with them until it all looked good to me.

Today, I've been working on finishing it and wait until you see it! I love it, but it's not quite done yet. So you really do have to wait until you see it. Check back tomorrow!! (Can you tell I'm excited about it?!)

  2. Hi Silke,
Coming back tomorrow for another look. looks promising.

Thanks for joining my blog; I only started less than six months ago and can do with all the support I can get. Hope you'll like what you see. I tend to do more history and plenty of gardening.

  6. When I paint I also start with that, paint different colours without a plan. I feel that I soon need to paint again.

  9. You sound excited to me. I like your work. I am of the Old old school...used to paint expecting to sell them at the next art show somewhere. I did that for years when my kids were growing up. Now I don't even own a single paint brush except those that i used to paint the house with.
