I love gladiolas! When we lived in Michigan, I remember being able to get big bunches of them for a dollar or two in the summer and I always had them in the house.
So when I saw some at the store the other day, I bought a bunch. And when they started drooping, I cut off the tops made a small bouquet of them.
They make me happy! So pretty!!

I love them so much too!! Peony is my favorite flower but these are my second...and I haven't had any this summer yet...they are usually a few bucks a bunch and fill the house with so much color!! I love the orange and the purple ones best...They look gorgeous!! I do the same with mine to make them last.... I change the water and wash the container every two days as per my friends (a floral managers)advice...it preserves the flowers even longer!

I love gladiolas, too! Here in Germany, you can pick them yourself on some fields and leave money in a box.
