Last night there were still some things that were not looking right to me, but then this morning after another couple of layers it all came together.
I am often clueless as to what I need to do to finish the painting, but somehow the last layer always lets me know how to proceed.
And when after one of the layers there is suddenly quiet and no thought of what needs to be done next, I know that the painting is finished.
What amazes me is the emotion that this way of painting and the finished pieces evoke in me. I could stare at them for hours (and sometimes do).
And the initial layer that I thought was so wrong is working beautifully into the whole.

The sun has come out again today, but we are expecting high winds and cold temperatures for tonight. Very unusual for us in the middle of March!
I hope it is warmer wherever you are and that the sun is shining on your lives!!

Liebe Silke,

das BLAU.

Love it. I know the feeling of when it is just not right and the moment it is 'there.'

No sun, but snow and temps below zero here again... I'm so sorry for the first flowers and all the birds etc. that were already in the middle of doing their spring-things.
ReplyDeleteLiebe Silke,
ReplyDeleteich sehe du hast eine Phase für leuchtende Farben und Frische. Sehr schön ♥

Silke,
ReplyDeleteThe sun has been shining off and on today ~ during the off times, it was SNOWING! The wind has been blowing and it is cold - going down into the 20s tonight. I hope this is winter's last blast. The poor robins that were running around the yard yesterday are in for a shock tonight.
Stay warm.
I LOVE this painting, Silke. You are certainly becoming diverse in your painting skills - women, flowers, and now abstract. I think it is very exciting.

I see a lush planet and universe. I love these colors together. I can see how you could step into it and peacefully stay a while
ReplyDeleteI am looking for spring this week, silke, and seeing signs :-)
